Ok.. This may sound like a really dumb question.
But I leave my boat in my garage in havasu. And when I'm not there it gets like 100+ degrees in there when I'm not running the swamp cooler. And I was wondering how bad that affects the octane rating of your gas. My friend was telling me that in one week or two weeks that the gas thats in there goes from 91 octane to about 87 in that one week cause of all the heat. Is that true or not. Just wondering. Cause I always leave my boat with about a half tank in each side. Were out in havi every weekend using the boat. But does that 5 week days really drop the octane rating.
And has anyone ever had any experience with any of the gas stations out here in havasu selling bad gas. You know. Lesser octane than your buying or just water in the gas. Just curious. Cause I've heard some stories of guys blowing there motors from things like that. But then again there motors were POS from the start. So who really knows why they blew.

, but I always try to remember to add a bottle of Octane booster to each side before launch or a bottle of gas treatment before we leave.
