    Default checkpoint in Topock

Did anyone else get pulled into the checkpoint yesterday by the gas line in Topock? Long story short i had all of my safety equipment and i passed the beathalizer, 0.01. I had 3 beers spaced out through the day. It looked like alot of people were getting arrested.

I think it would be best to have one of those very reasonably priced portable/pocket breathaizers on board if you are going to be drinking at all while boating. Better for you to confirm due to may people thinking they are okay when they really are not. Could save a life and/or a trip to jail....

Better yet, don't drink anything (alcohol) while you're driving.

    What's so hard about that?

They can check my coolers, not one drink with alcohol. So they better buy it if I tell him I've had none.

YA we got stopped also, but I didn't have my tossable cushion, got a ticket for that , but the officer gave us a brand new one. Said My eye was twitching, I offered to take the breath, blood, or urine since I don't drink at all on the water. I mentioned that my eye may have been twitching from the hot chick in the next boat that I caught out of the corner of my eye, or that it was f*ing hot and my contacts were drying out, I don't know. Glad I never drink on the water. They looked to have hooked and booked quite a few.

We missed it. Saw the blue lights, slowed down while the oldtimer was pointing to the port side of his boat. I'm thinking he is crazy if he wants to tie up in the middle of the river with all of the traffic around there so I came to a stop to see what was going on. Then he pointed at several other boats that slowed down for him. All of the combined wakes converged on them and nearly tossed the old guy out the back. He sat down and waved us through. I pulled up and asked him if this was now a "no wake zone?" He looked at me crossed eyed and said just slow it down, so I did. We got aroung the corner and there must have been at 20+ boats beached side by side. It looked like a hell of a party. About an hour later while coming down river the other guy waved us through.
