    Default What would you do?

    This happened to someone I know over the weekend.
    The scenario;
    After a great day on the water, you and your significant other are ready to pull the boat out of the water and call it a day. She has loaded the boat up in the past with little problems and a little practice never hurt. So you agree that you will get the truck and she will float and wait for you to back it in.
    First, you forget your flip flops and have to walk a mile to the over flow parking on a not so smooth surface. Okay, you made it with minimal pain. Get the truck running and get in line. As you are sitting there about ten cars deep, you notice that there are two people on your boat. It looks like there is also a guy onboard floating about 100 yards offshore. You are sitting in line for maybe another ten minutes wondering what is going on out on the water.
    You finally get backed in and here comes your boat steaming ahead towards the trailer with your girl at the wheel. The guy on board is standing in her line of sight so she is looking to the side of the helm to see and try to line up on the trailer. She comes in too fast, a little sideways and almost hits the boat next to you as you are telling her to take the thing out of gear and back up. While this is happening it takes about three guys on the boat next to you and all that you have in you to keep your boat from nailing theirs.
    After the boat is harnessed and secured, the first thing you ask is “what the fuk are you doing on my boat?” and your girl says “he is helping me”…..
    With out knowing what the situation is, other than what you just went through. What would you say to the guy?

    I would tell him thanks for trying and have a nice day. Then take my chick and throw her in the water for being a dipshit and letting strangers on the boat!!
    Seriously though the guy must not know his lady well enough!

    Were the guys in your boat drunk? Did they drink the remaining beers out of your cooler? Did you offer them a beer???

    I would tell him to get the f**k out of my boat and thanks for not helping that much if she almost hit another boat. Then I would help her out of the boat and get in my truck lock the passengers door and leave her there with her new friend. My wife would know what kind of reaction she would be in for if she did something like that.

    I would thank the guy and go on our way. I would then have a conversation, or argument about the decision that was made.

    I am fortunate to have a wife that is awesome driving the Freightliner and 42' trailer for the boat to the ramp and backing it in perfectly. I would go on about this, but she doesn't read the boards, so what's the point?

    After the guy was told "If your helping..what the fuck are you doing to help? Get the fuk off my boat now! He never said anything other than just walk away while being asked again "what are you doing on my boat if your not helping fukr?? blah, blah, blah...

    It turns out that the boat got too close to shore and hit the props on rocks which resulted in the boat stalling and getting stuck. She was stuck and couldn't get it handled. The guy jumped off his buddies boat and pushed her off the rocks. He informed her that he didn't know shit about boating and would do anything he could to help. She finally got running again and then the trailer incident happened. The guy was standing there like an idiot because he didn't know anything. He was stuck on the boat unless he swam back. His friends told him they would pick him up at the ramp.
    So, was it an over reaction to chew the guys ass without knowing the facts? who is the asshole now?
