    Default Divorce???

My wife’s Best friend is getting a Divorce. She's been married for 15 years and they have three boys together.

She is worried about the Attorney costs.

Is there anything they can do to keep the costs at a minimum?

Do you have any recommendation that I can pass along to her..

    Thanks

If the divorce is ammicable then try a Paralegal service, you can generally get it done for about $1,000 total, if the parties fight over every little thing it can be upwards of $10K a piece, best advice I have is they need to try and figure out most of the Financial stuff themselves, that is where you end up getting hosed if Attornies are involved...

Have she and her husband try to work out property and custody arrangements themselves. When attorneys run this part of a divorce the attorneys wind up with most of the cash.

    Cheaper to keeper

If they can figure it out on there own it would be for the best. If Greed gets involved like mentioned the Sharks are gonna end up with a huge chunck

If he is a doctor and her an rn, why is she worried about attorney fees? If they can work things out amicably (think joe pesci) he should just foot the bill for the attorney for "both" the youts. Does she have a myspace page? j/k. good luck.

Before they get into this is mine, maybe they should try to reconcile. The last thing we need is another broken home!

The grass is not always greener. It just seems that it is way too easy for some to toss in the towel. I came frome divorced parents and it was not pretty. If they got 3 kids there must be something there.
