Seeing as how I am in a horrible location for selling my boat, I think I am gonna send it over to Havasu where there are a lot more buyers to look at it. Anyone have a preference on who's good to work with? I want someone that will keep it clean, take great care of it and most importantly, get it sold quickly.
It sure seems like Maxed Out sells high quality boats very quickly! Haven't seen too many stay on their site for too long and everyone says good things! 👍 Your Cobra would be a good candidate. Good luck
Boat brokers are horrible. We went to look at Campbell they have after they told us it was 100% ready to go. It wasn't cleaned, batteries about dead and rotten tires on the trailer. I was willing to over look that but not the rotten transom. It was completely soft. Drove 290 miles to be lied too. They are still selling the boat without fixing it and probably not telling any buyers about the transom. As soon as we said no deal the salesman vanished.
Sold a boat a few years back at boat brokers.
They had it for about 10 months.
Boat sold for $22,500 according to them
They deducted $1100 for storage
Then deducted $2,250 for their commission
Then I got hit with. $3,100 repair bill
Another deduction of $ 325.00 for detailing ( cover blew off and they never put it back on)
I asked if they would at least deduct the charges from the gross selling price so I would not have to pay 10% comission on items they had already marked up. No go. If I wanted to net 15k for my boat, I could have advertised it cheap as dirt and sold it n a week. Not had to wait 10 months.
Read their contract very carefully. This was back in 05. Don't know if things have changed.
I guess I should have clarified on this thread, I was never looking at "Boat Brokers" but rather looking for A boat broker in havasu. Unfortunately I have called maxxed out marine 3 times and not heard back. That is terrible customer service in my opinion so looks like I will not be listing the boat with him.
Tryed to sell a Boat at Boat Brokers over 10 years ago. They were horrible to deal with then too!
Never sold the boat and it was filthy dirty from sitting in their lot. Forget Them!
Call rick at Maxed out marine. If he doesn't answer his phone he will always call you back. I've been looking for a boat for about three months and he's been real good about answering questions about the boats I was interested in.
Ted at Boaters Outlet seems to sell a lot of Cobra's. He's in Upland. He sold my cousins Cobra three times and mine Cobra recently. 10 percent of the sale is his after you agree on a deal.
Can't go wrong with bringing it back to the builder. There is no negatives.
The big plus is it will be in doors.
