    Hey group, I am getting too many speeding tickets back and forth from the river so I need to break down and get a radar detector. That said, who makes the best one regardless of price?

    Valentine 1 hands down. Its hasn't been beat since it was introduced in 1992 and its software upgradeable to keep up with new technologies.

    As everyone above has said get the V1 if you have the money or go for the escort (forgot which model) they are around the same price but I like the v1 is better it shows the direction they are coming from and last time I checked they offered to pay for your 1st ticket or something like that but im sure there is quite a few stipulations to it.
