Baseball Fans

Have been helping this customer for a few days. He first came in yesterday and needed a gas door for his 08 gmc. Guess sumone stole his and he needs a replacement. Has texas plates so i figure there here for the texas/oh game. He says no i play ball for the rangers. I totally remember his face but i cant put a name with it. I refer him to a shop to get it put in and be done with it. Well the one i sold him is wrong and the replacement is 2 weeks out. He comes in today and there is another customer in here. The customer starts freaking out, asking me if i know who that is and such. Turns out the guy is Josh Hamilton, outfeilder for the rangers. Now i remember where i saw him at, he hit 28 bombs in last years allstar game. He stuck around and shot the shit with us and that customer for a good half an hour. We are going to order the part for him and he would get it on his way out of town. Guess there is a big speed and strenght deal going on at asu. Bunch of big name players are in town getting ready for spring ball

All the run ins i have had with pro ball players, they were all assholes. This guy was cool as shit.

Because he had all world written about him and then went the drug route????? Seems he does appreciate the second chance. Pretty interesting background on this guy.

When read his story last year was amazing and how so many stuck with him and now here he is. I hope continues for him.

Ya, he does seem like a good guy and not an asshole.

He will write a book sometime and make some money on it. Assuming he doesn't go back to the drugs.

I did sum reading up on him later after he left.

he is probably training at athletes performance off of university behind where the improv is. most of the big name ball players train there before spring training. i've worked on a few of the players cars there before. every ball player i've ever met was great, including barry bonds. i sat next to jason bay at a hockey game and we shot the shit the whole game.
