Dog wanted - Older Golden Retriever

My mother had to put one of her 2 dogs down last week due to illness. She had Bear for 12 years and he will be missed dearly. Her other dog, a Golden Retriver, is now very lonley and needs a companion for when my mom is not at home.

So I'm looking for a Golden Retriever about 1 to 4 years old that can get along well with another Golden. We are checking out the rescues but it's a long process and every place has a waiting list to be put on.

Any leads on an older (non-puppy) Golden that needs a good home is appreciated.

She threw up in the truck this AM and then in the condo in CA when we walked in.

I think she got a little car sickness which she only got one other time.

My 6 month old Golden gets car sick. We now give her a Dramamine 1/2 before we hit the road.
