    Default Summer! No boat=bummed.

    Well, on one hand I am kind of glad we got rid of the boat. Growing tough economic times for many makes a boat a GIANT liability. On the other hand, it is such a great way to get away from everything without having to fly to Hawaii or something.

    I guess Daly and I will resort to some of the local pool parties here in Vegas and maybe and extra vacation. I surely can't live without seeing my wife in a bikini this yr, so we will definitely have to hit up some pools. Our last house had a pool, but it didn't seem like we used it very much because we always had a boat. Now we have no boat or pool in our current house.

    Anyone else get rid of the boat and kind of wondering what your Summer will be like?

    I thought mine was sold ....again..... and was thinking the same thing. Thankfully we plan on buying at the LA boat show regardless.... IF i can find "the perfect boat"
    I dont know if I could go an entire summer without lake time.....
    We'll be on Powell in Sept if your still in need...... your welcome to hangout.....

    I sold the Cruiser ( and miss the hell out of it ) I still share the jet with the old man - but he lives 60 miles away and I have no garage - so there it stays . I have the aqua craft ( builder ) in the drive way covered .

    I have resorted to being a boat bitch localy for Two Women . all in all Not a bad thing . More than once i have been Told " your the man as i am the only man on the boat with 4- five women ... So I miss the speed of my boat - I miss being able to hook and go as i please . But i don't miss the expence that is included in those scenerio's ....

    Yes I do miss it !

    You can still make the scene and have a good time in a 1200.00 used zodiac if thats what it takes! I've had some great times when I was flat broke. Being broke is only a state of mind. Also if you are hanging in the right places, smokin' deals have a way of finding you !!! Hang tough, stay healthy, be positive !!!!!!

    Last summer was my first summer without a boat since 92. It wasn't too bad but I do miss my Ultra a lot. I went to Havasu once with my folks on their boat. It's just not the same though. It's not looking like business is going to be any better this year. So it looks this summer is going to be another summer without a boat. I'm sure I'll make a trip or two to Havasu in my parents boat this summer. It's nice not having the expense but being boatless sucks!

    Don't get me wrong, I love to ride with friends, but I don't want to ever feel like a burden. Having your own boat is nice because you go where you want to go, launch when you want to launch, come in when you want to come in, bang the wife.... oh, woops, didn't mean to say that out loud
