HEY ROCKSTARS! I just wanted to say thank you for your wishes. Everything is going as well as it could be. I will be in for another surgery today and I should have 1 or 2 more before they let me out. If all goes well I should fully recover.
To answer some questions:
It was an ambush stlye shooting so I was not able to return fire as I was taking cover to save my bum. I was pinned inside my car and when I realized I was not able to withdrawl my weapon, I got out of dodge. Since I was out of danger and the shooter was no longer active we could not take agressive action. The shooter gave up with out a fight.
Lets just say it was a crazy night and I am thankful to still be here. The call could have gone a lot worse for me and other on scene officers. The department is taking really good care of us.
