So I’m an irresponsible god owner.

This lady called the cops at Parker last weekend and said I am cruel to my dog and an irresponsible dog owner. She said it was cruel to leave my dog on a leash, in the shade, next to the river, to enjoy the great day (Sat. that was like 85 degrees and cloudy) while we went for a couple hour boat ride. When we got back this Sheriff came by and asked me if I’d like to wear a coat all day and proceed to give me the most asinine lecture I’ve ever had. So after that the poor dog then spent the next few days locked in his crate in the house when we left. Thanks a lot lady! He really enjoyed being locked in his crate for the rest of the weekend. Why cant people mind their own business!!!!!!!

If the dog could get to the water from the leash, whats the big deal?

He went for tons of boat rides but we were going to the sand bar and Parkers sand bar is to deep for him to run around. He would have had to swim the whole time.

That LEO is out of line and un-educated on the reality of dogs in Arizona. Thousand and thousands of dogs live happy lives in arizona heat with shade and water.

If that Sheriff would provide me with the life I provide to my Dogs, I would gladly sit in a cabana with water wearing a jacket on for the day.

Not to be an old stick in the mud and perhaps I'm misreading this. Was this in your own yard or in a public place? Because, I would never leave my dog tied up and unattended in a public place.

People are so dumb it really disgusts me.

My 2 Keeshonds (like a small chow) don't have any problem with the heat and they have 3 layers of fur. It keeps them insulated from the heat and the cold. If I were to shave their fur short the heat would kill them in a short time. They do get haircuts but then they stay home til it grows back out again.

There was a Chick on a Southwest flight sitting on the plane feeding her dog Burger King... Talk about cruelty to animals (and humans who had to watch)... Where's the cops when you need them...

No way man. We rented a house in a gated community that came with it's own private cabana and dock. The cabana was shared with one other house and the guy that owned it was cool with our dog and not even there the day of the incident.
