Ive seen a few drag boats (19' or less) last year hit the 135+ mark that was insane
What motor was in the 27' Daytona. I would like to hear how much HP people are running in the 27' Daytonas to get 110 - 125+mph.

Oh, btw 84 in my Daytona on the rev limiter and not full throttle. Need a bigger prop.

    125 the 36' Spectre
    100 the 19' Liberator
100 the 30' Spectre (lots of times)
    96 in 24 HTM

I was the passenger in all of the boats. All had such different rides but all very fun! The Liberator was my favorite!

I feel the need, the need for SPEED!!!!

    SICK!!!

I hope to see that at the next desert storm.

I was in a 36 speedster eliminator with twin 1075's at 143 mph. Bob Leach was at the throttles. What a ride!

Recall box for tach was broken, but it turned 6200 RPM with a 36"Labbed Bravo 1 prop, the engine redlines @ 6500, believe it or not you don't notice a differance between 90 or 130 its is a very stable boat and smooth as hell the boat runs nice and flat, here are some other pics @ 129

Just noticed the post about not noticing the difference between 90 and 130..

Question : Do you prefer going fast (top speed) or getting there (acceleration)?

For me it's all about the acceleration.. The top speed is almost a "necessary evil"..

I guess this may just be a small boat/ big boat question.. Not sure.

I did, And I believe you Thank's. Also thank's too every one eles for posting And being truthful, This is a fun thread to see. Boating is fun at just about any speed, Even if you have not hit anything around 100 mph it's still a good time out there on the water.

I love the acceleration, 132 in my 26' boat is fast enough, but the way the boat is set up now I can run everywhere @ 125 and get there is a "PIN YOU IN THE SEAT" kinda of way, thats what I love, sounds crazy that we are talking about 125mph on water like its nothing...well thats how us boaters on here are...
