So....the new worlds largest building has me thinking....

that the Arab world probably looks at this as some kind of shining example of the strength of the Arab world. Think some terrorist will take it down? Fly planes into it?

Seems to be the new worlds biggest target.

The Burj AL--- (the new name is from the guy that bailed them out Khalif something) is really strong- they've made a point of using much more reinforced concrete than the W trade centers and mentioned it would take a plane hit much better.

OF all the schemes in the world I cant believe these guys had to get a bail out from their neighbors. Talk about having it all - then f-ing it up. These guys take the cake.

Duabi is much more tolerant than Saudi, but still a religious led country.

They are actually pretty decent lot in Dubai. They are waay more tolerant and supportive of Western culture than any other Arab state save Lebanon.

The Arabs barely tolerate them and they are the "wild child" of the Islamic world.

I would suggest that the US Govt is doing just enough to keep BinLaden's head down but dont want to kill him. That would not only make him a martyr and thus a rally cry for extremists, but we would then have to figure out who, or how many, would replace him. With him a known quantity, and having leadership loyalty (think how Sadam kept Iraq together) we "confine" our enemies to a (more) manageable group and thinkset....
