god for bid you get there at 10:23 and want lunch. They told me I had to wait till 10:30 to order it. Unreal!! So I walked across the street to Del Taco. I can't believe they still do this, and they have the worst breakfast food ever (not that lunch is all that much better).

As much as I hate to admit this..I worked there many years ago. It has to do with the grill temps. Breakfast (eggs and what not) cook at a much lower temp. They don't turn the grills up until 10:30. They could have made you a hamburger but it would have been seriously undercooked! It's about consistancy in food prep and finished product from store to store across the country.
I've had the inverse. Sometimes I'm a lazy ass don't get out of bed until 10:30. Rolld down to McD's for an egg McMuffin and couldn't get it...

Funny....Jack in the Box doesn't seem to have any issues with their grill temps....entire menu 24/7.
What a bunch of crap....hire some fricken people that know how to cook, and grill temps would be a fricken afterthought...what a fockin joke!!
These days I don't think it can be grill temp unless McD's actually still grills. I've been in plenty of Jack's and Burger Kings in my last job and I never saw someone flipping burgers. They've got automated cookers that stuff goes in and they press a button which does it at a specific temp for a specific time. What you are getting at those places is production line factory food that just gets to you warm instead of you putting it in the microwave.
Oh yeah I about keeled over when I saw Jack in the Box tacos. Those things come as complete tacos. They are frozen and in a big box. They put those bad boys whole in the fryer to heat them up. No wonder they are so good when drinking. That grease soaks up the booze.
