If you do go, don't buy ANY stuff that's illegal in CA! Sort of defeats the object of driving all the way there! Apparently CA DOJ stake-out these gun shows for CA cars and then stop them just after they've crossed the border and search for illegal stuff, like "hi cap" mags and the similar stuff! It's happened with the Vegas gun shows and last time they had 5 guys in jail for illegal possession and transportation of "hi cap" mags!
The gun shows are mostly run by Crossroads Of The West, so I'd save my gas money and go to the ones in Costa Mesa or Del Mar. If it were me, I wouldn't go...but I'm just sayin'
Sure sounds like BS to me. If I legally owned hi-caps in Cali, I'd take a picture with the newspaper, then take them with me to the gunshow. Let the cops stop you and PROVE you bought them at the show. Then produce the picture and prove otherwise. That's FOCKIN' BS!

Just take a part the mag and its now not HI cap... Shot show is now here in vegas..
I've wondered the same thing before but decided it wasn't worth it. If you are going out for just the show you have to pay for gas, parking, entrance fee and then if you buy something you have to pay tax. I bought what I would have bought there online and saved money and time. Now if you were already out in Parker and wanted to make the trip, that's a different story.Originally Posted by Cobra 02
