THe washes are running pretty good but passable to my place. People in parts of Cave Creek won't be getting home tonight I bet.

Record flooding on the Agua Fria River tonight. supposed to be 14' over flood stage tomorrow.
New river is flowing big time all the way down here at Deer Valley Road. Lake Pleasant still has 20+ feet before full and Bartlett is down 50 Ft while Horseshoe is down 40. This should take care of most of those low lakes in one week. I remember years ago 1975 or so when Lake Pleasant was just a mud hole and I could touch an 8' gaff to the bottom every where we went. The genius weather men said it would take 40 years of above normal rainfall to ever fill it again. Well a big one came in, the lake filled to the spillways and the Bell Road bridge on the Agua Fria washed downstream.
You simply don't second guess Mother Nature.

Shall we say things have gotten a bit more exciting. This is New River at Deer Valley Road. It's dry 340 days a year and the forecast calls for a bunch more rain now.

Bring on more rain! We were in waist deep powder all day today. Went into the back country and was able to get fresh tracks all day! For a person that has been on snow for 24 years and rides 70-90 days a year, I can honestly say this was in the top 2 best days ever.
