Tires
Im going to school in flagstaff right now and with all of this snow I need to retire my old tires for something else. I have been looking at the BF's specifically the rugged trail and the all terrain t/a ko. I need a tire thats good in snow, can tow the boat, and is good in the desert. I was also wondering are the rugged trails ok for my application or is it a waste to try to save the 200. Any other tire ideas would be great

BTW the truck is a 2000 toyota tundra limited 4x4
Nitto Terra Grappler gets great reviews in sand,mud,snow and on road.
I like BF all terrain's in the snow. Had them on my old ZR2, that truck was a blast to drive in the snow.

what am i looking at on the nittos?
On my 325/5022s I'm in for it for $409.00 a tire for nittos. Best tire IMO
do they last for a decent amount of miles?
Depends on the size tire you need.
Right now I've got about 30k on em and probably good for another 5
BFGs for sure ive had many different tires on my truck and im in the mud and dirt all the time down here farming and the snow on my boarding trips they are good tires. in snow you need them to cut through the snow to get tractions and thats what the bfgs do unless you get real wide ones

BFG All Terrains for sure. Rotate them often. I have 50K Miles on mine and they still have a lot of tread left. Expensive but they last longer than most tires I have had. Have fun in flag, I grew up there and went to NAU. Great town.
My buddy has a set of used BFG A/T 265's 16's. He wants about $125 for each. They only have about 20k miles on them and they look great. If no one buys them in a few months I should be do for those as a replacement.
If you really want a good tire for snow, then get SNOW ONLY tires, and not M/S tires. Real snow tires are actually narrower than most tires, where M/S tires are usually fairly wide. Also they usually have the tread that allows for studs, you can take them out once the thaw comes. However, if you leave them in and drive on asphault that has no ice/snow then you mess up the tread and roads. Now sure about the towing capabilities of these types of tires.
Toyo mud terrains..deal with the noise...they look cool and do great in snow/mud. I am so used to the low tone of them while driving that it doesn't bug me one bit.
