It's been ugly since 830 this morn. My office is the cab of my truck and my job site is the fwys of socal. Every fwy is jacked even worse cause od this tanker thing

Of all the freeways on this Friday, I can't imagine how messed up its going to be. The surface roads all over the counties, LA, Riverside, and San Bernardino ought to be lots of fun for the rest of the day if not longer...

I would be surprized if this is shut down, at least partically, for a few days. CalTrans will have to be fixing the asphalt on at least a couple of lanes.
Freeway is concrete....................not to say it won't burn & melt, but nowhere near as bad as asphalt would!!
Opps, thought asphalt out there. Not sure how concrete will handle the temps either.
My bet is Caltrans will have it open by the morning. it is not on a bridge and they use fast setting concrete for repairs like this. Cut out the old, bring in trucks with the new. What a mess indeed.
