This guy seems to be more interested in being in front of the camera and fighting for the undocumented Mexicans than anything else.

Heard this sh-t this morning on the radio, but yes totally expected from him. I'm one of the few Dems on the boards but it's guys like this that make in a little difficult to stay with the party. It is not a political issue it is an economic and moral issue.

He probably signed off on the Absolute advert too.
These undoc'd workers are getting more rights then the employers are.
We cannot question there doc's, that's discrimination.
I guess he's not worried about the overcrowed schools and hospitals and all of the expences that these workers drain from the state!

trojan dan is right...tony velar(real name) never passed the bar exam...actually he took it 4 different times and never passed.....i work across the street from city hall it never ceases to amaze me of all the fiestas and "cultural"shit that goes on at the city halls steps

After PCL, he became a field representative/organizer with the United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA), where he made inroads with individuals that would help him make his move into politics, such as James M. Wood and Miguel Contreras, both deceased former Executive Treasurers of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO. Villaraigosa was also President of the Los Angeles chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and the American Federation of Government Employees. On May 6, 2006, he was awarded an honorary degree by Loyola Marymount University (LMU) and addressed the graduating Class of 2006 as Commencement Speaker. On May 12, 2006 he was awarded an honorary degree by the University of Southern California (USC) where he also addressed the graduating Class of 2006 as commencement speaker. Antonio Villaraigosa is a Roman Catholic.
