I wandered into a local Lake Havasu business Action motor sports on Monday. I had an hour to kill and they were posting a sale. My husband is a picky dresser so I am always looking for stuff for him. I picked up a white t-shirt I thought he might like and then asked the girl working what her return policy was. I explained that my husband is picky and I often have to return 1/2 of what I buy. "What is your return policy?" she responds its no problem if you leave the tags on and with your receipt. I say ok and select a couple shirts. I then look at the hats on top of the shirt rack. I again ask her "what is the return policy?" she replies "No problem if the tags are on it." "the big thing is the tags make sure you leave the tags on it." I then move to the shorts sale rack and select some shorts 6 pair and ask again the return policy. She responds again same thing leave the tags on. I say ok no problem. Over to the sunglasses I go. Ask the return policy she says these are exchange only. I respond ok then I'm not going to take any because I have to return half the stuff I get my husband and need to be able to return them if he doesn't like them. I check out $337 of stuff.
Tuesday I return to the store (not even 24hrs later) same 2 people working and one asks about the 1st birthday party I'm planning for my dog, clearly remembering me and our conversations. I give her the bag for return about $200 of stuff hubby didn't like and she says "do you want to look around for exchange?" I say no I want it credited back to my AMX, she says oh no I'm sorry it is exchange only or store credit.
WHAT?? I asked you 4 times yesterday and you assured me no problem with returning the items just keep the tags on them. she tells me oh no I didn't say that I said exchange only. What are you crazy why would I of asked you 4 times if you clearly told me it was exchange only? Why did I pass on sunglasses commenting that I need to be able to return stuff and it was exchange only? She has no good response other than I'm sorry would you like a store credit.
I have no interest in your store credit I will never be going back to your store. How can you look your customer in the eye lie to them to make a sale and expect them to want to return? I vote with my money and our money will be going to someone who is not a crooked business.
My husband calls the store to talk to the manager just to inquire their side of the story. He asks for the manager the girl states "I am the manager" he asks her name, who am I speaking with?" she gets defensive, rude and hangs up on him without ever giving her name. Why does asking a name get you hung up on? More importantly why do they have customers at all?
I notified American express immediately and they are investigating them for fraud. I am putting my story out there so others will be informed of crooked businesses in Lake Havasu unfortunately there are still a few in this small town.

After my wife told me what happend,I called and asked to speek to the manger. Lady wouldnt even give me her name. Great customer service. Hope your ship sinks with the economy. What pos. Great way to treat a customer that just spent 300 plus in your store.
