Extreme trailer axle question?

I cant seem to find a repair manual or a exploded parts view to see whats going on....Last time out we had some rain/water in the boat, so when I put it away in storage I pulled the plugs and raised the bow 5-7 inches above my hitch to help with water run off. It sat for about a month, pulled it out this weekend for ASM poker run & now the right rear tire is stuck in the up position?! & wont budge by foot or pry bar & I mean nothing...

What happened? Did the torsion arm in the axle tube break? or did the spindle jump a few splines on the axle end? I cant find anything on the axle system or its componets...Any thoughts?

On a serious note it is actually a very simple fix, But for the life of me I am having brain freeze

Wade, it sounds like one of the rubber tubes popped past the corner of the stub axle. You may have to put a jack between the trailer frame and stub axle to pop it back. If that wont work you have to pull it apart and re-assemble it. I helped a buddy do one once, but I'll be damed if I can remember exactly how we did it.

I know a good friend of ours that did it, but never went into detail on what the failure was or how the repair went....

Go to the link above and click on the Trailer Axles (Service Manuals) and read through it. It will tell you how to I.D. the axle.

No Bobby's axle froze, I helped him take it out, different story I hope for you... He had to take the axle out and send it back to extreme...
My old exterme did what you said and i use to easily fix it, But it has been 7 years and I forgot

It is a U.F.P. Torsion Axle you have on that Trailer. Thats what Extreme uses on all their Trailers with torsion. Hate to break it to you but they are not repairable. The cartridges are pressed in from the manufacture (UFP) and you will need to replace the complete beam itself that runs across the Trailer. They run about $220 from Extreme unpainted. They have a 2 Year manufacture warranty, if your right out of warranty they might give you the beam at no charge. Call Tony @ Extreme and he will get you taken care of warranty or not.

Thanks I will call tomorrow, just find it hard to believe that a trailer that went from Montclair to Havasu to Simi Valley & back to Havasu is needing a axle assembly already...
