Thats good stuff. I took one of the time released ones before we took off in Kuwait, and woke up when we landed 11 1/2 hours later in D.C. Will never travel again without it
STAY the **** AWAY from that shit.It destroyed my life.I got a .04 as in HALF the legal limit DUI.I had 2 crown an sprites took 2 ambien an went to bed.Next thing i remember? I was in the hospital wit ZERO idea why.Found out much later i crashed my Super Duty into a brick address wall 1/2 mi away from my house.Its called " ambien sleep driving." I've heard these stories.
I'm lucky don't have a problem getting to sleep.
Unless it's super stressfull at work then I may lay awake most the night, but that rarely happens.
The way the drug companies push drugs is pretty bad.

I went to sleep in my t shirt an shorts.You should see the police report.You would laff ur ass off.(there is NOTHING funny bout a DUI tho) When you are in this "twilght zone" state u remember nothin an u act in a bizarre manor.According to the report,the officer axed me how many beers i had.My reply??? "sixty five." I dont evn drink beer.He also axed me why i crashed my truck.I told him that beer cans were floating in the air inside my truck.One of them spilled on me and i became distracted an crashed into the sign.According to a witness, after i crashed into the sign??? I got out of my truck, walked around to the passenger side.I knocked on the window and said "open the door"Their was no one else in my truck........Remember .04You got up, got dressed, and got in your' truck in your sleep???

Maybe 2-3 times a month I'll take one > usually if I have coffee during the day as it comes back at night to keep me up.
Get in touch with pappa g here on the boards....he can give u lottsa info on ambien.....
I hope his info is to stay the F**k away from it.
Take them every time I travel, never more than a 1/2 (5 mg.).
Never had a problem.
I would never think of taking 2 at one time.

Been taking Ambien intermittently the last 2-3 years.
If you have to take a sleep drug this is my choice. Of course its better not to have to take anything at all.
I have heard about ambien sleep driving but me nor the GF (nor anyone Ive ever known) have ever experienced anything other than a gentle nod to sleep - then a good rest. The first "known" person to me to have this problem is whacker. That said I know no one that had a couple of drinks then took 2.
I use it when I travel East as the 3 hour loss in time makes it hard to get to sleep early enough to get much of it - and "early" meeting starts just kill you.
I also use it on transcontinental flights - especially if Im stuck in coach.
I havent tried the time release ones, but the normal ones (1) puts me down in about a half an hour and keeps me asleep about 6 hours total.
If I have a sleep problem at home which is rare - I crack them in half- just to get to sleep.

My sister had a nightmare while on that...she was convinced it was real. Thought her hubby was try kill her...od her on drugs. She ran to the to the neighbors house at 3 am in her night gown. Called the cops....went to the hospital to had a blood test. And no drugs were there...it was all in her head. No more ambien...no more psyco dreams. Bad chit...

You make an excellent point.I tried takin 1 for 3 nights prior.Jus didnt do much.Ive had SEVERE insomnia for yrs an jus lived with it.After my mom passed is the first time ive ever takin anything for it.
