Default New Product Development - Wax Products

We are wrapping up testing on a new boat polish and polymer glaze wax to add to our product line. Thus far, the results have been excellent as you can see in the photos and we think we have a fantastic product. We are looking for 1 or 2 very experienced detailers that can test both the polish and the polymer wax and provide us with feedback. Below are a few pics we shot last week during one of our tests.

Note: The polishing product is targetted toward boat owners that have basic knowledge of how to use an off the shelf random orbital buffer...it is not meant as a heavy cutting compound for use in a multi-step polishing process.

If you're interested, PM us with your background, experiences, and valid references and we'll get the product out to you and instructions for the test, if you're selected.

    Cool First thing...

Professionals dont use random orbital buffers especially on gel coat finishes!
Second thing...do your own home work and make your own bed!

    1) I don't recall saying anything about professionals using a random orbital buffer in my post.

Here's what was written: "The polishing product is targetted toward boat owners that have basic knowledge of how to use an off the shelf random orbital buffer...it is not meant as a heavy cutting compound for use in a multi-step polishing process."

The was statement made to give context to the target audience and provide a framework for the typical user of the finished product...which is anyone with an off the shelf buffer with even low levels of experience with detailing. Meaning that the product is very easy to use, even with basic tools and further, that non-professionals can use the product and still have good results.

    2) Obviously from the pictures we do a lot of homework on product development because you can see the results. This post was meant to see if anyone wanted to be involved and provide us feedback...at their own discretion. Meaning that it's obviously optional for someone to participate.

It's clear that you must have skipped some assignments in school and didn't do your homework otherwise you wouldn't have misconstrued what was being said in the post...not once, but twice.

Next time be careful who you tangle with...genius (the word genius is meant to be facetious). You'll probably need to look that word up in the dictionary, worldly scholar.

Let me define it for you in case your too drunk to find your dictionary or look it up online:

    fa·ce·tious
–adjective 1. not meant to be taken seriously or literally: a facetious remark.
    2. amusing; humorous.
    3. lacking serious intent; concerned with something nonessential, amusing, or frivolous: a facetious person.

    Yeah, what he said....
I don't know who you are and I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you....

I would be afraid of ANY detail professional that would be afraid of a DA polisher! I have been painting vehicles as a hobby for two decades. I actually learned to sand/buff/polish paint jobs before I learned to spray them.

I fully agree there is still no substitute for a rotary (standard) variable-speed polisher for the initial work. I have tried the DA for the cutting and it just doesn't do the work.

However, for swirl-mark removal and final polish/waxing.....I don't see how a DA could be beat! My wife got me a DA polisher kit a few years back for Xmas. As many cars as I have (and the boat) - this has made my world a better place. It does all the work and CAN'T tear anything up! For putting the "lipstick" on a nice paintjob (or gel), a dual-action polisher is quite smart.
