Out of every seven days it seems like it is guaranteed we have greater gusts of wind on Saturday and Sunday. It PISSES me off.

I work for the Coast Guard at SFO...The pilots get a small book on Bay Area weather that specifically states that there is a SEVEN day cycle; It gets hot, then the on-shore breeze picks up and cools, and then the cycle repeats....I noticed one summer a few years ago that it was calm and hot on the weekend, then cold and windy during the week....perfect! But now I'm paying the piper; The last two years it's been cold and windy every weekend, then nice and hot during the week...paybacks a bitch!
it's the So Cal Vacuum effect, the wind rushes into to fill the void left by all the boats, cars and people that end up in Havasu

Would love to swing it so the cycle is DELAYED until winter.
Winds are blowing in Vegas at least 30mph. Gusts probably up to 50.

Don't worry tomorrow as everyone is leaving town the winds will die down to nothing.
At least LaveyOne will be happy. He and his lady are there for another week.

I forgot to mention; During the week, I sometimes ride BART and my bike to work....when I ride back to BART-San Bruno, it's to the west...into the prevailing shore breeze....so it screws me during the week, too; I am extremely un-aero-die-nam-ick....It's amazing how much exercise you can get riding head-on into a 20-30 mph wind....."What doesn't kill you, may make you stronger"....why is my left side all numb...?
