Wide Open Wings

Wade and Carrie Kelson (and their family) have recently opened a new family oriented sports bar at 125 Paseo del Sol Ave. in Lake Havasu City. The food is AWESOME.

The Kelson family have poured their heart and soul into making this venture a success and I am simply asking that we all help them in their endeavor. The theme of the restaurant is anything to do with motor sports - boating, desert racing, motocross, drag racing, hot rods, etc.......... you will love the ambiance the place has to offer!

The Kelson's have been involved in some type of "go fast" motorsport for most of their lives. They are some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and I would love to see them succeed beyond their wildest dreams. They are totally "hands on".

Next time you are in Havasu, please stop by for a beer, a salad (the best in town), a quesadilla, or one of the many flavors of WINGS. All the recipes are home made by Carrie and she is a fantastic cook.

There is plenty of boat parking by the rear entrance (where the Lake Havasu Swap Meet is held) and the front of the building faces the highway on the little frontage road just a few buildings north of the I-HOP and Del Taco. The hours are 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and you can even walk there from the very north end of the channel.

We've had the food it is excellent! You are right, the ambiance is the best. Several members have pictures of their boats (or parts of their boats) hanging on the walls. It is a great place to watch the races on TV.

Parking couldn't be easier and the service is fast enough for a to-go order after a day on the lake!

They did a "soft" opening to get a feel for how much food and staff would be needed.
As with every new place, there are bugs that need to be worked out - but I have to say that they are all doing an excellent job. Everyone there really cares that you receive EXCELLENT service and QUALITY food.

I'm sure there will eventually be a "GRAND" opening but not until they are confident that everyone is comfortable with pulling it off.

There is a "little" OPEN sign on the front of the building

Have eaten there 3 times already and the food is excellent!! The spinach salad is probably the best I've had before. Highly recommend this place. Super nice people and very attentive.

Right now there are many flavors of wings, boneless chicken, a few salads, quesadillas,
and several flavors of home made french fries. As time goes on, more menu items will be added as the bugs are worked out. There is also a full bar - just no blended drinks yet.
They are planning to add a couple "wrap" sandwiches, and possibly some riblets in the near future. Right now a wing order comes with a side salad (very tasty) OR french fries.
