Default A Couple of Old Hotboat Magazine Articles of my Dad

I was flipping through some old HB magazines I have here at the house and thought I'd share a couple articles my dad had in there.

The First was in the reader rides section, He sent in the article and picture but it wasnt published until the May 1999 Issue, 4 months after he passed away at the age of 31. The little girl on the boat is one of my sisters who i believe was five at the time, now 17

Second is a letter my grandmother wrote to HB after he passed, they published it and asked her for a picture of our family, she sent them this one, which was taken at Christmas, a short month before he passed away in January of 1999.

I was flipping through my old ones as well. Lot of great times.

Wish I could offer you some other pics that your pop might have sent us back then but those files were retained by LFP after the meltdown.

If you need another copy I probably have one here. PM if you like.

Thank You King. When my grandmother wrote the second letter to HB they were kind enough to send my family atleast 15 copies of each magazine.

Ive got about 8 of each one put up in the house in pristine condition.

I'm sorry about your Dad. It's nice to know he had a chance to enjoy the beauty of boating and the lake.

I feel the same way, I have a hard time realizing it has been twelve years already. I was 10 when my father passed away. The oldest of 4 kids, now 22. My brother has Graduated and my sister ( the one in the picture) will be graduating from high school this coming year.

    Hard to believe
