Your copy is in the mail for October 98. Went deep into the archives and found these. This is #2, 3 and 4 of original Hot Boat before Nordskog purchased name.

Ya I've got those too! Really cool magazines!!!

Thanks for the back issue and also the $10 subscription. I almost feel guilty getting PB that cheap.

    A couple more good ones.

You're welcome. I got several emails from old HB peeps on their favorite issues which brought back a lot of fond memories. Cracking the covers and researching was great.

Anyone remember the red vdrive in readers rides, gray tweed interior? I want to say it was a Rayson Craft but I could be wrong. Would love to see pics of it again. Thinking it was early to mid 90's.

    Default Quarterflash

The cover with Ralph Padilla's Quarterflash from the early 80's sticks out in my mind. Lost all my boat mags from the 70's, 80's and early 90's in a move. Dammit! Still have everything from the mid 90's on. The "30 years of California Customs" article from the Nov/Dec '98 and Jan '99 isssues was great. The "Hot Boat A to Z" articles from the October '98 and July '07 issues were also really good.

Hey Chris, do you have any pics or Brochures from Sundown Marine? I know your dad worked with Bob Long in that venture.

Powerboat is another great publication. I think I have issue 1 dated back to 58 or so.

    Here's some of my archives.
I've got a dosen or so of these. Chuck Stearns was the man!

    That is a killer selection!!!!
There must be some really great tech info in those old mags, before they started filling them up with more and more advertisements, and crappier content. I really think the internet killed the Magazine Industry. The last 10 years or so of Hot Boat were a joke. Same with Truckin, Sport Truck and all those other magazines I used to waste money on.

Anyways, my favorite had two Schiada's on it running next to each other. I'll have to find it.

    Jerry

I've got a couple. Not sure how legit the tie-in was between Elvis feature and the magazine but I'm good with it.
