As a ungrateful modern serf your attitude toward our beneficent plutocrats and corporate masters is unacceptable!

cvxjet, Read this below attachment on Serfdom. Just substitute modern terms like Corporatism, CEOs, plutocrats, employees, etc. for feudalism , manorialism, Lords etc.... It really is a similar economic ,status arrangement in many ways.

Sounds more like you're envious of the rich, yet aren't willing to make the sacrifices necessary. You believe in Obama taking money from thise who have and giving to those who didn't work for it. You do know that if we were to redistribute wealth throughout the world, you;d be living on $5000 a year.
Read my previous post about being poor!!! You sound like a spoiled kid that wants right now what those have worked decades for.

We are clearly a different economy and it didn't just happen overnight.

"Pay for college graduates has risen by 15.7 percent over the past 32 years (after adjustment for inflation) while the income of a worker without a high school diploma has plummeted by 25.7 percent over the same period."
That 15% over 32 yrs is nothing to jump up and down about either. The whole world has grown richer while the US has lost some advantage, those 2 billion new workers have competed wages down some for us.
But let's separate some concepts, 1. the creation of wealth, 2. poverty, 3 govt. policy. Your article lumps them all together.

    Good points.

    1. We ought not to lament wealth, without wealth creation we would all be impoverished. As it is we are the wealthiest people in the history of world, and our poor people are fat.
    2. Other studies show that poverty is minimal for people who finish high school, don't have babies as teenagers, and marry before having a baby. So it is absurd to say that the Bush tax cuts "cause" poverty, because taxes have nothing to do with those 3 items.
    3. The article assumes that somehow wealth is bad, and that govt. ought to somehow "fix" the gap, despite the govt's low success rate in doing this in the past. The article ends with the stunning conclusion that the unseen Dem. plan will be a lot better than the Repub. plan.
We should keep in mind the parable about the communist who sees a wealthy man in a mansion and says, "No man should have so much." The capitalist sees the same mansion and says, "All men should have so much."

Serfs had no land, and literally no way to rise above serfdom.
Here, there are ways lift yourself up.
In the US, about 5% of the land is developed, yet Dems want to concentrate people in the cities. Hmm, I wonder why that is. Could be because country fucks are more self sufficient than poor people in the city who have to depend on govt. for everything. How about those poor serfs in New Orleans who seemingly couldn't leave even facing death. My, what a triumph that was for the Democratic Party.

    That is just pathetic.
Are you calling the guy who took the job that you turned down a liar, cheater, and theif just because it was inconvenient for you to take it??

I am a HS dropout, I do not lie, cheat , or steal....ever.
And it is not greed that drives me.
It is the security of not making my loved ones worry about things like food, mortgages, bills etc.

I realize that playing the blame game is a natural avenue for libs, as it is the easiest course of action.
But I'll let you in on a secret I learned a long time ago.
Everyone has the same trials in life, just at different levels. Whining, blaming and complaining will get you nowhere, because most people have similar problems in their lives.
The question that needs asked is what are you prepared to do about it??
blaming others is not a productive option, and will lead to zero improvement in anyone's lot in life.

And I'll let cvx in on one of my little secrets. Many years ago I learned nobody gives a shit about you and your whining, wimpering, sniviling, crying, pissing and moaning....If thats all you want to do then get the fuck outta the way and let someone else do the job you are whining and wimpering about because they will do the job better than a whiner. But according to cvx I'm nothing but a liar, cheat, and thief because I am in business for myself and the only way I am sucessful is because I steal from little old ladies, candy from babies, the church poor box and I cheat anyone and everyone who will let me on a daily basis....Thats cvx's definition of a sucessful businessman. As I said in another post the entire mental health community has failed because people like cvx are not locked up for their own protection.

Agreed, except for the last paragraph you got a little full of yourself. The point is that it is a continuing trend that didn't just happen with this President but rather at the hands of people we have ALL voted for. The imprtant thing is to focus on the issues while not making generalizations theatwill get us nowhere.

So what do you want R&J, some of Steven Job's inheritance? Would that make you happy. Are you deserving? Would you feel better if his family was stripped down to say their last million? Would you allow them that much? what exactly do you think needs to be done to fix this so called precieved problem you are all whining about. You must have a plan. What is it. Come on, don't be shy. We all know where you heart is, and the type of government you would like to see. just come out and say it. Under your system of government, how much enterpreneurial spirit do you think the average American will have. What will be the gains under your system for the genuis that lived in a Steven Jobs or a Henry Ford.
How many jobs will you idea produce. You must have plan to kill aquiring wealth without killing the drive that make people aquire it. When there are no driven businessmen, who will employ you masses?
Damn you people are pretty dumb when it comes to business. You think that people will continue an as though this is all normal. They take the risks, the drive, the sacrifices to built a comapny and built a product so that YOU can reap the benefits of teh THEIR labor. FUCK YOU, YOU COMMIE BASTARD.

maybe you think this is progress, but I don't. You know what this is a picture of right R&J. Its you mother land. Your utopia. Thats South and North Korea. If you like, I will persoanlly buy you and a one way ticket there tomorrow in hopes it will stall the efforts to turn this country into your idea of paradise.

gn, there's more than one way to create wealth in the good 'ol us of a. here's yet another example of what's been going on for the last 3 years.

Company May Get $4.9B Loan From Obama Administration For High Speed Rail Linking Victorville And Vegas « CBS Los Angeles

the method is this. become a crony of the dems in power. come up with a brilliant idea, like a high speed link between thriving commercial megatropolis's like victorville and vegas, and score a 5 bil loan from the braindead debt piler. obviously, there's no other way for people to get to vegas, like planes, trains (yes, there's already a train), or cars. have a huge ribbon cutting with pictures and everything, then vanish into thin air with the billions (sans the obligatory kickback), while the lawyers file bankruptcy. this whole thing is amazing.

So, the rich give themselves 100% pay raises, especially after they've layed off a couple of thousand workers(Sorry- lazy bums) and after they've done all this, a light comes down from on high and baths them in golden rays....

I'm sorry, but I don't buy the "Rich are all saints and do everything in this country" crap; The rich have just as many scoundrels as any other part of our society, and they DON'T create jobs.....the middle class creates jobs by having enough income to purchase things, so THEN rich guys start pumping up their businesses and hiring......So, taking all the money from the rest of the people in this country, and giving it all to the rich is exactly what has crushed our economy......well done.....Hey, at least the rich can take all their money and leave the country, right?......like rats deserting a sinking ship, only they are taking every bit of wealth this country created with them......Thank god that noone working in a factory ever created any wealth in this country....They're just scum, right? Not......THE CHOSEN PEOPLE* * MUst have over one million dollars to qualify as "Chosen".....

Is that how the hundreds of small to mid sized corps do it???

Do you think there are any mom and pop shops with 5 or 10 or 15 or 20 workers that barely turn a profit after everyone else gets paid and all the overhead is paid for??? Are ALL business men/women RICH? Are ALL evil corps that are blood thirsty and suck all that they can from their workers???

The company I worked for in Chicago paid 100% of the health care for me and for my wife (we both worked there)... At the end of the year we both received a full months pay as a bonus along with pretty nice vacation benefits...

Are ALL large and mega corps evil??? What % do you think operate as you described above??? Sucking the life out of their workers???

Break it down for us a little bit will you CVX???

P.S. How could a ANYclass ANYone go out and buy ANYthing if there wasnt someone that put up the blood/sweat/tears/capital to design/market/create/build/ship the ANYTHING first step??? Which came first, the chicken or the egg???

Take a simple Dewalt battery drill, there was some serious outlay of $$$ in many areas before you could pick it up off the shelf at HomeDepot and buy it... There was some serious $$$ and RISK on the part of Home Depot to put up a building, stock and staff the store before you could buy it...

Ok, first, I am not the one who defines rich as equal to "Job creators" better known as US economic saints......But I don't see how your attempts to equate the Rich with business owners.....Most business owners make less than $100,000....so your arguments of "rich hater" is crap....I just think that the very rich in this country have been stacking the deck for themselves and against everyone else, and think that these actions have devastated our economy....and really don't think that wiping out most small business owners, along with everyone else in this country, to agrandize the very rich will benefit this country......Lots of countries have tried Fuedalism and it really doesn't work all that well. Tell me how helping the 1% who are rich and hurting the rest of America is going to benefit the US economy......
