Poor z has stepped in it again, trying to go after Romney's religion. z wouldn't understand religious convictions since he worships the government, the liberal mindset and himself, from all I read. The truth, should he have an interest in knowing is this: Regarding the military draft, Romney had initially received a student deferment while attending college, then like most other Mormon missionaries a ministerial deferment while in France, then another student deferment. When those ran out, his high number in the December 1969 draft lottery (300) ensured he would not be selected. He ducked from nothing and, as I understand it most Mormon young men serve missions even today when there is no draft. Sorry z but you really missed on this one.
Now, why not give a detailed answer to JD's question as I have Romney's personal situation that precluded him from military service. Somebody quote it for me since the ignore feature precludes my view of this excellent explanation he's about to provide about his hero's military service.

Your boy Romney was a missionary in France for 2.5 long years.. Really a tough a assignment I'm sure. Hanging around Paris cafes is a bad place to be a missionary during a war in South East Asia.
And he was a school boy instead of a soldier getting multiple student deferrments for taking all those hard classes...
No matter how you spin it this rich little candy ass pussy intentionally ducked the five hottest years of the Viet Nam war (1965-1970).

When he became eligible for military service in 1970, he drew a high number in the annual draft lottery and at that time no one drawing higher than 195 was drafted.
In 1980 he registered with the Selective Service. There were no wars or draft in 1980 !!!
So he didn't join voluntarily? So what? Many people do not volunteer to join the military.
Fact: Obama was was not a draft dodger like Romney was.

I don't know if his documents are questionabe or not. However it is irrelevant in this topic.......
Obama's peace time lack of military service is based upon hugely different circumstances than Romney's war time lack of military service.
Face it, militarily you republicans have an even less qualified CIC nominee than even Obama is ! As unbelievable as that is to do....You guys did it !!! .......
At least Perry and Paul served honorably.

Because I have no way of knowing for certain, I do not offer an opinion until there is some real proof. Being an independed free thinker, unlike you, I don't feel the urge to buy into every idiotic rightie or leftie opinion I read.
The office only has 2 requirements. He fits both. Anything further including military experience is nothing more than perks to sway individual voters. Don't like he has no military experience? Don't vote for him.
Ahhh I see. You say you cannot form an opinion because your not sure if his documents are true or false. I would call that common sense. BUTTTTTT you call everyone else a loon because they feel the same way and want an investigation to get to the bottom of it all. You have doubt but could care less wether he is qualified to be Pres. Afterall if there is any doubt there should be an official congresional investigation as we could have a fraud in the WH that should have no business being there. And you call yourself a free thinker ? A true freethinker would acknowledge there is more than enopugh reasnable doubt for a full on investigation and would advocate that.
If you voted for Obama to prove you were not racist, then you better find someone else to vote for to prove your not stupid.
