Thumbs down Conservative song costs coach his job

    What bullshit!!!

A Tennessee middle school football coach is looking to the future after his termination for alleged political incorrectness.

Twenty-six-year-old Bryan Glover is a Christian who co-wrote a song called "When You're Holding a Hammer, Everything Looks Like a Nail," which takes a dig at the current administration and what he believes to be the wrong moves for the U.S. He sent a link to his song to everyone in his personal e-mail inbox, which included parents from Grassland Middle School, where he coached football.

I don't see the problem. He was fired for sending a non-school related piece infomation/music that contained personal bias and opinion. He is repsonsible for educating and coaching their minor children. It is not his duty to spread his views to the parents of those kids whether they aree with him or not.

If he would have posted in on a pubclic forum or his facebook page, that would likely be another story.

    No kidding.

The whole damned public school system is awash in liberal BS.

I doubt you would feel the same if the liberal bias were on the other foot....I'll keep you remark about "its not his duty..." in mind when some teacher starts in on MMGW, "carbon footprint" or Gay propaganda that is taught in public schools EVERY DAY. Seems you have alot of confusion as to what should be taught in public schools and what teaching should be left to the parents.

I agree. Don't you think if the tables were turned and a liberal female teacher who wrote a poem about the importance of a womens right to choose, and emailed it directly to some of the parents, would/should suffer the same fate?

I have kids in elementary school now and we have never once experienced any political agenda nonsense from any of them. Some of the parents, that's another story. Oh and by the way, they still say the Pledge of Allegiance in our public school.

    That's good to hear!

Question: Have you sat in any classes? Granted, elementary school probably won't display any actual agenda as far as individual teachers, but there are other signs at that level possibly.
BUT, when your' kids get into higher grades, like Jr. High and up, make it a point to sit in or ask pointed questions.
You may be surprised at what you see and hear.
I sat in once at an old girlfriends social class at Oxnard once, NOT a public school granted.
I was shocked at the BS this so called instructor was spewing. It was the day after the GOP mid term sweep in 1994, and prop 187 had passed also.
BOY, that lib POS "teacher" was fuming!
I felt it my duty to call him on all his BS, which almost drove him insane since he was NOT used to being challenged in his "kingdom"...

We will be involved with our kid's ecucation all the way through. I am sure there will be some spirited discussions as they get older. While I am in no hurry for them to grow up, I am anxious to see how they field some of the stuff they are exposed to in school.

R&J I'm glad you take part in your children's edcuation, more parents should. But how would you feel if one of the teachers or the entire school proclaimed "Muslim Day" and your child had to adopt a Muslim name, participate in daily prayer, learn about Shria Law and the Koran? Before you answer think about the kid that wore crucifix on a chain around her neck and she got sent home for wearing an inflammatory symbol. Or the kid that wore a t-shirt with an American flag on the front and he got suspended for 5 days for wearing an inflammatory symbol. In some schools here in the Bay Area the American flag is not flown anywhere, classrooms and on the grounds in fear that someone will be offended by a oppressive symbol, but a Mexican flag is perfectly fine. With all the Lefty drivil about the seperation of church and state does Islam not fall under the same rules or that American exceptionalism is not taught because they don't want to offend a minority in the school? Or perhaps are they making up the rules as they go along so they could conform to a "We are the World, Kumbayaa" leftie agenda? What happen to the Three Rs? I guess in a leftie world there will be no further use for readin' ritin' an rithnitic' they can hire a Messican to do all that shit for 'em. right? Another job an American won't do.....Or can't.

Pretty much my line of thought. As skewed as it may be.

So who is talking? Rod OR JEN? My bet is the latter. Typical liberal double team....

Thats because it takes two or more liberals to match wits with one conservative. Does that mean that just one liberal is a half wit?
