Another source of bleeding money found.

The problem is "common sense" isn't common anymore.

I wrote my state senator and asked why part of the hwy in front of my house has been over laid three times while the other end only once. I had some guy from the LADOT call try to explain it to me. I couldn't get what he was trying to say until he said, "If we don't spend all the money this year, we won't get as much (in grants) next year."

Talk about a fucked up way of doing things. I say run it like a business, and that applies to local, state, and federal. If you can't afford it, you don't buy it anyway!!!

But we have dim bulbs on both sides that just keep the ball rolling.

"Use it or lose it" is the heartbeat of most every Gov. entity.
The 5 years or so I spent working full time and also seasonal for the DOD was a shocking revelation.

Coming in under budget on any project was an absolute no-no. Not JUST because of the revenue, but you would actually be called to task for overbidding also. In the Gov. viewpoint, anything under budget means you fucked up somewhere.

Here is a "feel good" $20 million outlay.
I realize that $20 million won't even raise an eyebrow on the hill, but this kind of waste is just sickening to Me.

It should be noted that Bush also did this, to the tune of about $100 million, regarding Medicaid.
O-Rock actually put the spending INSIDE the O-care law, requiring it to be spent under the guise of "Education" about the BS Ocare law.

Government spending is a disease. It has infected all parties. The Kenyan has been crowned the "King" of spending forever! I seriously doubt there will ever again in the history of America see money wasted at this pace again.

The TEA Party movement was spawned from government waste of our tax dollars. The growth of government is beyond out of control and the waste is now on YouTube without much fanfare from the citizens. Full-scale revolt wouldn't be enough to reverse it now. Re-electing anyone who is not promised and proven to cut spending and reduce government is a wasted vote. We need to start by making a change in the White House and sweep through congress then continue to bleed conservative principals all the way to our neighborhoods and school boards. It's the only way we'll ever survive.

Taxing rich guys like the Kenyan thinks will work couldn't cover his family trips, much less his irresponsible wasteful spending.
