Yep it's out of control. We have a guy who worked for the city water department that lives caddy corner from our shop. A few years ago when he retired at the ripe old age of 49 we deliverd about $2000.00 worth of galvanized couregated sheet to the water department. Low and behold a week after he retired he was building a new fence around his yard with the material we sent over there the week before he retired. Guess he felt on top of his overbloated pension he deserved a little more on the taxpayers dime.

Better get Z to investigate. ??

2 years ago, in 2010, an employee for Louisiana's 5th Levee District stole some tires off a trailer and put on his own personal trailer. He pleaded no contest to the charges. Must be nice to be paid to not work for 2 years while the government tries to figure out HOW to fire someone.

This is a classic, textbook example of why the private sector has little faith in government's ability to police itself or control expenses.

This is just the one that got caught. Tip of the iceberg.

My sister in law married a real jewel. He was a drug infested professional college student that landed a job with the State of Arizona. He remained an active drug user to the point that he couldn't make it to work any more so they placed him on permanent disability with full pay and left him home until he finally drowned in his own bath tub under the influence of multiple drugs.

I'm sure because he would not get any better price by buying it through the City. Not to mention it would be alot easier to get it across the street to his house than having to trailer it home from a few miles away.Plus I seriously doubt, and they should not be able to do that, through the city. The city has to issue a PO# for thier purchases. We do not give any breaks in price to employees of customers. As the employee they are not buying anything from us so they are not getting the discount for volume buying.

It appears the troll is guilty of always giving the benefit of the doubt to the wrong guy and accusing the wrong guy the rest of the time.

Your kidding right ? This kind of abuse is rampant as can be, and should pop up in the financials. Gross misspending is the gov way. Besides if the investigators are like you I'm sure it would have never been solved.
