Unfortunately, they will be affected. I refuse to do any work with the local municipalities or the state, for this reason alone. They have the balls to state in their contracts, that if they do not have the money, I must relieve them of payment.

I told the Dept of Consumer Affairs recently, to kiss my ass on a contract renewal, and the dumb bitch almost fell out of her chair.

It's starting leaches, look out for your pensions.

Sounds about par for the course when it comes to government.

Meanwhile, in the private sector, I occasionally have to submit company financials to some of our larger customers (big chains). Now why on earth would someone hand over financial records to a customer you ask? Because they are checking for solvency in their suppliers. If you supply someone like McDonald's with a product, expect them to make sure your company is on solid ground if you ever want a chance at their business.

Public employee's unions must be willing to assume much of this responsibility as retirees are earning more than many private sector active employees do today. That's simply unsustainable and any conservative could've seen this coming a half century ago. Of course liberals only care to see their own situation as the future is somebody else's problem.

It's way beyond a catastrophe at this point. The city let things go way too far before taking bankruptcy measures and now they don't have enough money to pay their own water bill.

So you are saying every city council member for the last 30 years has been a liberal?

I'm pretty sure he is blaming President Obama (a "liberal dumbass") for the general state of economic health and the decline in income and the snowball effect it has had on smaller economies, thereby causing this as well as other cities' current and pending woes.
