Why? I thought Roberts re-writing the mandate to a tax made it a 51 vote.
I have also read that even without the supermajority, if the GOP wins the White House, holds the majority in the House and and takes control of the Senate, that they could use reconciliation to defeat the bill.
In the mean time, instead of the repeat vote from House Republicans to repeal it, they should get on board with Michelle Bachman and Jim Jordan to vote to defund any action that has to do with implementing the bill. I guess this is where we will see who really wants to repeal Obamacare.

Other then symbolic right now it is meaningless. All attention needs to be on the election and getting rid of the clown posse. Romney already stated to he would work to repeal it but it would have to get by the senate first and that is not going to happen with the libby idiots in there right now.

No problem. Romney can just use his EO power to give exemptions to every state and every citizen. The Senate can de fund it, (Tax), with a simple 51 vote majority.....
The MAIN reason for this vote was to back the dems into an "on the record" vote knowing a huge majority of actual voters do not want obamacare.... obama KNOWS his base is toast. They are no longer motivated. This election can't produce a "first" of anything.... Clinton was/is the only dim to get a second term since, when? Eisenhower's Presidency?? Kennedy might have, LBJ bailed out, Carter was almost tarred and feathered as he left.....
