I spent yesterday at a jobsite with one of our vendors working on a sophisticated piece of equipment he built and I sold.

He mentioned he was really PO'd about how the stimulous money was being applied. His company which is an industry leader basically had a spec written around a piece of their equipment due in large part to the fact they build top of the line stuff. Well the City of NYC managed to get some stimulous funds to expand the project. When they did they rebid the entire job and a European owned GC won the contract over the original US owned bidder. The Eurp company then announced they would use a Chinese company to build the piece of equipment my vendor had thought they had locked up.

So in fact our taxpayer funded stimulous dollars wil benefit Euors and Chinese who will barely meet the intent of the spec and likley leave NYC with a piece of typical Chinese junk that will unlikely perform properly.

This situation is just like all the Wind Generators stimulous funds will buy from offshore companies. How in the hell is this type of stimulous spending helping US companies???????? Congress and the Admin who rammed this bill up our collective asses should be removed immediatley.

Give us our damned country back already!!!!!!
