    Default Cutting Medicare waste

First mainstream media article I've ever seen that even admits it's too much money for nothing.

As long as the Doctors and/or hospitals can tap into a payment plan of some kind they will keep you going....like a carrot or ternip. That is until the money runs out.

If you don't have coverage you're unplugged or moved out real soon to die at home.

Bottom line is "Profits baby" ( Porsches are expensive you know).
That is what corporate run health care it is all about.

Years of working as a medical professional have no doubt formed the basis of this astute synopsis.:

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

What a slap in the face of all medical care providers you've delivered with this moronic statement. If what you say was true, no illegals would ever bother to enter a medical facility yet these facilities are overflowing with them. Can you explain this for us Z-man? I'm only 59 and have only personally known a couple hundred people with medical needs beyond their insurance or ability to pay yet I've never witnessed any one of them "unplugged or moved out" as you say. Give us some verifiable real world examples. I have many I've witnessed personally.

I'll ask you once again: Have you ever posted sober?

More like years of drinking the anti-business kool-aide.

    Zombie,
What people forget is that without the corporate "greed" (as you call it) there would have been no incentive for 75% of the medical discoveries in the past 40 years. Just look at hip replacements. Do you think that the medical community in Canada came up with it? The UK? How about knee surgeries? University of Utah is working on human adult stem cells to repair heart damage. It's taken from your own bone marrow and re-engineered. It has shown to be extremely effective. I can go on & on.
This would NOT happen in a socialistic environment with no real financial benefit.

How many medical breakthroughs have you seen come out of the former USSR or Venezuela? Not a lot has come out of Europe except for sex change operations. Figures that the biggest thing to come out of Europe would be something that would de-nut someone.

He most likely does not even have an inkling of a clue, how many professions he has just slandered every member of, with yet another, of his mindless posts.

I'll agree that's part of the problem, at least with old/terminal people. If there were no third party paying for all this, like Medicare, these expensive treatments that are near useless would evaporate.

Note that I have defended our free market health care in other posts here.

So now it is our civic duty to just go home and die. After all why use up all those valuable medical dollars, rare hospital beds and waste doctor's time just to keep old folk alive when it could be better spent aborting babies, treating incarcerated convicts and doing sex change operations not to speak about pumping women's tits with some sort of foreign substance to enhance her self esteem.....Yeah...Lets kick Granny to the curb to free up all those valuable hospital beds. Now thats a country I want to live in.

Is a hospital bed, proper medical supervision, nutritional support, hydration, nursing care, and pain control really too much to ask for????Or are Zombie and SB refering to the treatments that are used to put off the need for terminal care? Either way, how is such care part of the problem??? I wonder if they have ever even heard of hospice care etc???
