Serve notice to all that a reduction to 50% would be in three months and 100% in six months. Leaves lots of time to get a shower and start looking for a job.

Public service for love of country requires a more patriotic populace than we currently have.

I'll respectfully disagree. I know a lot of folks that would love to make a difference and see a return to our founding fathers' principals of governance. They would receive compensation for their time with expenses - just not golden parachutes for life and airplanes to fly back and forth across the country weekly for pleasure at the taxpayers expense, Pelosi/Obama style. I also believe every lawmaker should be subject to the laws imposed upon the American People while they currently disagree.

As long as we bow to these special interest groups, environmental groups, ACLU, Unions, etc. it will be business as usual. When we grow the anatomy to ignore these "not-so-silent" minorities and serve the needs of the general population, a lot of very good things will happen for America.

This will never happen unfortunately, these people are steadfast and will not give up the stranglehold on our government as is evident by their willingness to do what ever it takes to remain in power. A good many men have been laid to rest over just such ideology.
The writing is on the wall, in a day and age where 50% of this country will put a man in office based on color of skin verses fitness for duty I fear we are doomed..............

MAYBE the next time a Illinois/CHICAGO politician ends up on the ballot people will be more prepared to JUST SAY NO...

I say that should automatically disqualify someone as a candidate in the future...

Just imagine if Jessie Jackson SR or JR were to end up in the INNER CIRCLE in D.C.... THAT is something we MUST prevent and perhaps the awakening due to Barry S. "service" will serve that purpose...
