I myself DO NOT like the woman, but not because of her politics, nor because of her family troubles. I'd surely vote for her if she wins the nomination, but I'd rather she doesn't.

The value I take from this story is how the media continues to focus on non-issues and personal situations. Palin is in the spotlight and in many ways has herself to blame for perpetuating the story beyond it's value. One thing she perhaps should have thought out and the McCain people should have thought out was how to deal with the media as far as shifting focus when this situations were brought into play.

Then again I'm sure the left wing media's goal was to involve the boyfriend and encourage him to "go nut" over the Palins. His 15 minutes and his new flund ability to make some big money were only natural. Now it appears it's over and he should pull back in.

I kinda feel badly for girl as it seems she's tried pretty hard to make her story and example and use it in a positive way for unwed mothers and teen pregnancy. But the press and the TV funny folks view her more as fodder for chuckles rather than as something positive.

Palin to me is a strong smart woman but can do the country more good from the side lines than running for office. Much like Dan Quayle, the media and the left have worked her image over the coals far too much for her to be effective or taken as an electable candidate for major office.

And the really sad thing is how the media can swarm over everything Palin to the point of how many freckles each family member has on their asses, yet they "can't" find anything on the Kenyan as to his exact origin, grades, finances, or other "juicy" items that would be general knowledge by now for any other person elected to the position of POTUS.

Personally I'm hoping for a Rick Perry or Mitt Romney / Bobby Jindall ticket. I think Jindall is making good impressions dealing with the BP spill and both Perry and Romney are proven strong leaders of States.

Jan Brewer is another doing a job per her constituents and will no doubt gain some support. As well as the NJ Gov whose name slips my mind.

Whomever we get, they need to have a plan and not mince words playing politics.

Don't know much about the Utah inference but assume it's the Mormon thing that's got the burr in your asse. All I know about Romney is he did what I thought was a good job as MA Gov and his father George was a successful Gov and businessman so Mitt's been raised well.

Whose pulling Brewr's strings? I doubt she'll have the weight to make a run but she sure has appeared to being doing a better job in AZ than her predecessor.

And I do think Palin has smarts and did a great job in Alaska. But I don't think she's electable and don't think she should "muddy" the waters.

My choice would be Perry/Jindall but I don't know if Perry will be pushed by Republicans for the nomination.

Since my choices don't meet your approval and draw your criticism, who in the hell you got in mind? Or are you going to run yourself 'cause no one can meet your standards? Get on your stump and let's hear what the hell ya got.....
