Bumped to the top. I was wondering the same thing? Any advantage or disadvantage running a 5 blade?
Although my experience is on a v-bottom, I'll share anyway. A 26p would probably be good on your boat. Usually with a 5 blade, you have to go down a pitch or two to maintain the same rpm on the top end (even more so with the Maximus, like 4"). On my boat, the 5 blades made the boat get on plane effortlessly and cruise speed was about 5mph faster in the midrange at the same rpm as the labbed bravos. This was both a P-5X and Maximus. With the deckboat/cat you should be fine, but with the v-bottom the x-dimension has to be relatively high in order to run a 5 blade (at least with my boat).
I went from a 28 3 blade to a 26 5 blade. Lost 5 mph and rpm went up 400. Still have not figured that out.
i use a 26p 4 blade bravo 1 but when i have 5 people an 90 gal of fuel an its hot i can barley roll it over out of the hole i talked to HILL marine an he said to try a 24p five blade he sells them new for 700-800 not sure what make or brand they are
I have a Bravo style Hering blade 25.5 x 15.5 22degree rack that will carry that bow for a Bravo xr

5 blade, better holeshot and mid range, you will lose top end as much as 3-5 mph.Keep your 4 blades.
