Im not sure if it is quite wide enuff for a single pin course, JetBoatGuru would have to weigh in on that one since he has raced the course in Shazam AND knows what it would take for a single pin CS course...

We are racing crackers there. As well as marble falls, TX and augusta, GA. We might possibly race San Angelo, TX.

I would love to check out your K boat

Same track. It is going to be tight at Wheatland. Bout the same as racing Firebird I believe

wheatland isn't anywhere near as wide as firebird... not even remotely close. you could put two wheatlands side by side and it still wouldn't be as wide as firebird. the wheatland track is closer in size to SITC than firebird...

from where to where??? scott, i've been on the rope both places. you can't get anywhere near the number of boats on the rope at wheatland that you can at firebird. after coming back from wheatland last year and going to firebird, i thought i was on a great lake...
not suggesting wheatland is small, or too small. it's an awesome track. but firebird is huge compared to just about anywhere that's not open water...

I don't know the footage between the two tracks. But I hear it is close.

You are right Bob. Firebird is much wider at the holding rope because it flares out on the spectator side from above the Firebird office to the in-ramp. Firebird International Raceway, South Maricopa Road, Chandler, AZ - Google Maps That's where Rescue 1 stays, tucked back between that corner and the starting beam. But from there to the cove, it's not that much wider.

Since its only 400 wide then if I get pitched out I can just pull a spider monkey and grab onto the fence that protects the spectators.
