Newbie for River Racer. is ready to go. My name is Joey I have an old 78 Horizon jet boat. I will use this boat to learn the "ropes" of drag boat racing. I think I have everything ready. Don't forget the mechanical stop on your throttle peddle. I don't remember what the exact wording is in the Lucas Rulebook but the Tech guys always look for it. I made mine out of a long 3/8" carriage bolt and mounted it so it stops the travel of the gas peddle right at WOT. Also, make sure you have a fire extinguisher in the bed of your truck and a safety chain on your trailer, that is on their checklist too. It sounds like you have done your homework so I'm sure your personal safety equipment will be up to speed.

    Good luck!

I will have to check that stop. Good thing I asked. I have a fire extinguisher in the boat do I still need one in the truck?

    Thank you. .................Joey

You were right they bounced me from tech. Went home and made one from angle and a bolt. Should be good to go.

    Thanks...............Joey
