Default Menomonie Wi. drag boat races 2012

UMPBA will be hosting 1/4 drags on Lake Menomon located in Menomonie WI. This is located 1hr East of Minn/St Paul MN just off I-94. and the races will take place at Wauconda Park. This a great venue and will be our first year here and want to make this a great event. The city of Menomonie is excited to have us and gonna help in making this a great event. There is a campground close by but I'm not sure what is available for that weekend. There are many hotels but we have worked out a deal with the Super 8 to give racer discounts and provide extra parking just for boats. We have chosen this location hoping to encourage some new faces to join us or just attend. Menomonie has alot to offer, many bars and resturaunts within walking distance of hotels as well as this is the weekend of the Dunn County Fair. There will be stock car races Fri night and NTPA tractor pulls on Sat night. We are looking forward to everyone joining us and helping us make this an annual event. You can check out our web site at UMPBA.org

    Default parker hydraulic cylinders

The powerful boat engine good in any race. If your boat have parker hydraulic cylinders you have a chance to won the race hydraulic cylinders increase the boat speed.

Ron, there are no payouts, no politics, to keep it fun for all. All the classes are MPH based, lake racer 65-75, lake racer I 75-85, lake racer II 85-95, lake racer III 96-105, lake racer IV 105-115, and then unlimited. There are a few boats running in the 140's, all classes are competitive, and fun. Boats are paired at the positioning bouys, and started any time they are evenly paired in between and approaching the start bouys. You may be paired with any type boat in your class, hydro, flat, jet, or O/B.

Ron, we're running lake racer III last event got bumped to lake racer IV. There speeds were dropped by 5mph at the last event, so I should be back in Lake racer III again. I know its a long haul, I'm in it for the fun of it, and could care less if I win. Being competitive is the main goal, We some great video of the past events, and learning from each run. If time permits, they have a few grudge races between classes, while they ready the boats. There are some wicked fast flats, and jets running, amongst the outboards. These outboard guys are pretty serious about there performance, as they are not limited on their engines or weight. Like I said it's fun and competitive, everyone is on adrenelin overload for the weekend. Lots of folks make a three day weekend out of it, testing friday afternoon, and Saturday morning, then head out on Sunday, that works best for the long haul guys. This being a new venue, they hope to draw more local boats from Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. The last event drew guys from MO, NB, IA, MN, SD, IL, WS, and KS. They would love to have some Island racers join up too.
