The new site is up and running. Need some feedback if you please.

The Long Beach Rum Run is coming soon in July. 4 weeks and counting. There is a discount for pre-registration for the race on the site.

The new site looks good but you wanted some constructive criticism, so here is what I think:

    1) I think that you should have more teams under the Production classes, with photos, etc.. like you already have it.

    2) Under all classes, I would sugguest identifying what makes a P5 boat, a P5 boat, maybe specify the requirements to get into that class (staying under 75 mph etc), P6 (staying under 65) etc...

    3) If somebody was thinking about entering their boat in a race, what is involved with that? Maybe sell the fact how easy it really is to get into POPRA with your own boat.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you for the response on the website. I will pass it on to Troy and make the changes.

Thanks to: In the Red racing for the hospitaity this weekend, PORT (pacific offshore rescue team), the city of Long Beach, the Lifeguards, the Coast Guard, All of the Popra Board members and racers, Will Ross, and all the patrol boats that helped keep the course clear for racing and Archer Marine for being the start boat this year.

    Renegade won overall in Supercat

SCL 1st Horizon 2nd In the Red

    SVL Pig Iron 1st

    P3 Coyote 1st

    P6 Stars and Stripes

We tried something different this year to move the race to Saturday and run it near shore so the fans could see the boats race.

Let us know if you liked the raceboats running near shore or would you like to see them run to the island next year again. We were looking at having (2 races) one Saturday and one on Sunday. Either both inshore or one at Belmont pier (like this year) and one to the island and back.

The next event is Bayfair San Diego.

Thanks to everyone that came out to watch and the racers that made the show.
