radio control boat races this weekend

Namba dist. 19 will be holding r.c. Gas powered boat races at the london bridge channel in lake havasu feb 11-12-13 2011 there will be 200+ boats competing in 10 diffrent classes and running 60+ mph with 6-7 boats in a heat for 6 laps. Very exciting and fun to watch.

OMG... Now there is a blast from the past..I used to run A/B mono 7.5 back in the mid 80,s back in the midwest..that was so much funnnnnnnn
Thought about doin that again..but the water problems we have here in LV suck..
I just told the wife we might make a trip down there and watch..or hint hint..lol

i lived in vegas for 28 years and ran rc boats that long there as well. vegas has a great pond for rc boats and is located in the center of sunset park on the corner of sunset and eastern,shane

yeah i now where that place is..but i heard they crack down on the place as well?? NO GAS/NITRO????

the pond there at sunset park was built by bill bennett former owner of the circus circus hotel. he was a big modeler planes and boats the pond was put there in 1980 for model boat use. there is a very large crowd there every saturday and sunday. there is no gullwing model i have ever seen but there is a real nice flatbottom with a capsule called a davette. if you come to the race look for the tarp with the sin city racing banner that will be me and my race partner,shane
