Default Wheatland, MO Dragboat race July 29, 30, 31

Just drove by the new Lucas facility at Wheatland and it is going to be something!

I took two routes in to get an idea of how folks from my part of the country (from Central Arkansas) might want to go. I initially went in on 65 to I-44. Went West on 44 to 13. North on 13 to hwy 54 at Collins, took 54 15 miles into Wheatland. It does look a bit shorter breaking off hwy 13 at Bolivar, but that whole road is 25 miles to Wheatland and two-lane with NO SHOULDER. This pic is for all you Toter-home and Dually types taking large haulers up with you...it's on Hwy 83. Also, you have to make a couple of immediate left and right turns downtown Bolivar.

It's a much better pull for those of you with large trailers to just go on up 13 a bit further to Collins and take 54 on in.

Here's a shot of the starting line...sorry the pic isn't so good...done with a phone camera.

Good luck to all that show up! Sure to be a good time!

Circle track racing Saturday night too...ON DIRT.

    Unhappy Motel / hotel

Hey Bob. The 10-holer in Wheatland is full already! Bolivar has some mid-range, but for nice, Camdenton, Osage Beach or Springfield is it.

I just booked a room at the Econolodge in Osage Beach, they still have some double occupancy rooms available, some adjoining as well... ( 5760 Hwy. 54, Osage Beach, MO, US, 65065 Phone: (573) 348-1781 )

I am going to give up my rooms at the new Sleep Inn at Camdenton if someone doesn't want them... Give me a PM, I have a two Queen room and a king suite reserved...

Both hotels are going to be a 50 minute trip from Wheatland depending on how fast you drive... 42 miles from Camdenton, Osage Beach is just a few more miles...
