    Default Another battery box question

Trying to find a battery box that will mount to the stringer kind of like this one. Does Rex have one ? Thanks for any help.

We are in prototype now. I should have production finished in 2-3 weeks. The new ones will be one piece base though unlike the one you pictured. Very similar look to our BIL 100 box (which is not a stringer mount).

Don I'm hoping to see raw parts by the end of the week. We are a bit behind schedule.

Default Here are the finished single Optima side mounts

The bases are machined out of 1/2" structural angle and are rock solid for supporting the weight of a battery. No bolt on supports. No bolts to break off. The mounting holes for mounting through the stringers fit 3/8" bolts.

The BIL150 has the side mount leg "up" behind the battery. $188.99 ea polished.

Below is the BIL160. These have the side mounting leg facing "down" below the battery. $188.99 ea. polished.

I also have some duals finished, inline Optimas but no pics of those yet. They are very similar to the singles pictured above, only longer.

Another variation of the singles will be coming down the road in a month or so. Instead of a single post ends it will have billet machined end plates.

    Those look VERY nice...

Is the sizing for Red and Blue tops? I heard there was a difference.

Don, I know it fits the Blue and Yellow Tops. I have never tried a red top as we don't sell them. If anyone wants to bring one by I'd like to size it up and make sure they fit the red tops. On that same note, the top is the same as the standard BIL100 and I've never had a complaint of one of them not fitting any Optima out of hundreds sold. So I kind of assume somewhere in that mix someone used a few red tops.

    ----------------------------

Pricing is $188.99 polished for either the BIL150 or BIL160 side mount boxes. I have to price the colors yet. They will probably be slightly more for color than the colored models of the BIL100's just because they're a bit bigger. I would guess they will be around $205 for colors for these side mounts give or take a couple bucks.

I have a few polished in stock now with more in production. I have no colors on the shelf at this time. It will be color to order for the time being.

Regular flat mount and side mount models are on the way for the 31 series larger Optimas. I do not have a finish date on these larger boxes yet.
