    Default Paddle mount

Hi Rex - can you get ahold of some other paddle mounts? The plastic ones that you have aren't working very good for my application - I keep on breaking them. Ideally, I would like a single pin that goes through the paddle with a pin on the back side to lock her in. One of those push pins with a circle in the top that folds down to lock her in place. Can you get anything like this? Along with the nice wooden resigned paddle -the one with the feather on it - don't recall the brand name.

Another note - what's the deal with an aluminum paddle. That doesn't make any sense to me. I would loose that the first time out. Looks nice, but the functionality is only half thought out there.

Thanks - I need to order a new carbon fiber Auto meter water temp gauge from you (AUT 200762-40). If you can help out with the paddle and clamp, I'll get that as well. So close to hitting the water - A few more fuel lines to run. Looking forward to getting the lifelines. My intercom and helmets just came in from PCI - nice!! starting to look like an official race team or something. Sean

Exactly - you most likely have much more coordination that I do, so I would have watched that thing sink to the bottom as soon as I got the boat off the trailer. I paddle the boat on and off the trailer, since the clearances are pretty tight on the trailer and I don't want to ding up the underwater gear.

Good idea on the wrist band. Your flattie looks sweet - glad to hear that you're out enjoying it.

Thanks for the good words. I have been having a blast so far. luckily there hasnt been any huge problems that has left on the trailer for the whole weekend. i did have to get towed in friday. but that was a quick fix on the gear box. im not sure how cold the water is by you, but how come you dont come in, shut the motor off, hop out, and hold the boat as someone backs the trailer in under the boat. This only works if there is a extra person to back the truck down at the same time you are holding the boat. With the strong current flowing by my ramp ,i would have a horrible time trying to land it on the trailer without comming in "too hot"

Sean we normally have wood paddles but a different brand than you're referring to. I may be able to get that one for you though. I'll have to check. In fact I see our normal wood paddles on order but nothing on shelf so I need to scope that out too and see what's up.

On the brackets unfortunately that is all we have. The delrin ones that come with the billet paddle are only for that paddle. The other plastic clips fit most the wood paddles. Then we have the stainless clips also for the wood paddles. I have nothing with pins like your envisioning.

The billet paddles are pretty much a show thing. They do work also, but like you say, don't let go. Look at the bright side though... many sunglasses cost more than these paddles... (ok bad joke) haha.

Let me know if you don't see your Lifelines within a week and I'll check status. I think right now they are not quite done. I know Lifeline gets busy this time of year.

    Thanks Mike

Thanks Rex - just ordered. I'm giving the stainless clips a try. I'll get a new paddle when the new ones come in. Check out the Twin Strip paddle by Feather Brand - it floats and I like the laminate design.
