New Online Magazine Layout (beta)

We are experimenting with a new online magazine layout. The plan is to implement this for the already released in print version of the January issue and then the Feb online issue. This new format will allow us to integrate links, videos and search directly into the articles. The new format ditches the highly integrated traditional magazine layout in favor of single column text and a less complex photo layout that is easier to read online.

I setup two test articles to demo and get some feedback on. You can find them here:

A note on the A Place in Time Article. The drop shadows behind the photos look a little crummy. I setup a photoshop function to automate them as a batch and it didn't work out quite as well as I had hoped. This will be fixed in the final version.

Remember, these are demos, not final. If you have a good idea about layout or how the articles should look please let me know. Either reply to this thread or send me a PM.

Both articles are easy to read and move around. Much better than the magazine type pages.
