Is the SDBA going to run a PCE class in 2012 ?
The class has had good participation and I don't think there's a reason to drop it.
Our Class Rep meeting with the board is the 22nd.... I'm sure we'll know definitively then.

As time permits, offer us a PCE report. I have yet to make my class deccision for 2012, but the meeting will have an effect.

I don't recall if I have actually seen the response in actual print, but the word on the street is that SDBA will NOT have a PCE Class for 2012.Any word ?
Any SDBA officers or officials care to comment?
As was announced at the Open Meeting held at the SDBA Banquet in February, Pro Comp Eliminator (PCE) will not be offered at SDBA Sanctioned events due to an average participation of 2 boats in 2011. IT IS, HOWEVER, a Promoter's Discretion Class and can be offered by individual promoters who choose to.
I guess I hadn't paid much attention to PCE in 2011 until it was brought up at the Open Meeting that only one boat in PCE had attended more than 51% of the races in 2011... and word was that boat was moving up to another class...
Discussions among board members was to take the Prize Money allocated to PCE and divide it among the classes with better participation for 2012.

I thought they also said that any PCE could participate in the TAF class since when this class was formed it consumed the old TFF class...would have to refer to the rule book though.

QE class
I was hoping for a QE class (6 sec 1000ft )
Lucas talked about it for this year, but it never happened. Ken said they may pick it up next year if there is enough people who want to run it.
Come on SDBA get ahead of them and all the people wanting to run 6 sec 1000 would come run SDBA.

Dont hold your breath. Come on and run 8:00 second quarter mile. You could be the first with a consistant 8 sec jet boat.
