This classic 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 has a straight body with a couple of minor dings. It drives and runs well. There are paint chips in a few spots and it could use a paint job. It is missing a hub cap on the right rear wheel. There is one spot on the rear driver's side fender where there is rust right behind the tire. The motor is a 289 and it has an exhaust leak. Other than that it runs and starts right up. Transmission shifts smoothly. The vinyl top is in good shape. The interior needs work. The headliner is torn and needs to be replaced. The vinyl arm rests on the door need to be replaced. It is missing a gas cap. The right rear outside door handle is not working and must be opened from the inside. The "D" in FORD on the hood is missing and the "D" in FORD is missing on the trunk as is the FAI in FAIRLANE is missing on the back rear quarter panel. All the glass is in good shape with exception to the front windshield that has one very small chip in it. The mirrors need to be tightened up as they tend to not stay in place. The dashboard is in good shape with no cracks. The ashtray is loose. The radio is missing one knob. The glove box door works but, there is no box inside. The interior is in ok shape but needs to be re-done to be perfect. All the tailight and headlight lenses are good and all the trim around them are in pretty good shape. Overall this car is in good shape for being 46 yrs old and would work well as a daily grocery getter or a weekend cruiser. My wife doesn't believe me that I am selling it but, I have a son that has a good chance of going to the Junior Olympics this year for downhill skiing and I need the money for his travel expenses. Thanks for looking.
